MINISTRIES

Below are listed some of the ministries that are available at the Country Church of Hartsel. We welcome you to come check them out. Actively participate and fellowship with us.

Memorial Service For Jerry Casebolt - Founder of the Food Bank, Fire Wood Ministry, and Servant of The Lord Jesus Christ!!

In Memory Of

Jerry Casebolt

1/28/1948 – 3/17/2019

Jerry’s life passion for always being available to assist a neighbor was the center of his life, and as Jesus taught, everyone in need of a helping hand is a neighbor.  Jerry dedicated his life to developing programs to help local families including a food bank and firewood program so no one would be hungry or cold.  He assisted many with transportation to Dr visits and shopping.  He is irreplaceable as he continually did so very much for this community and will be dearly missed.

Sunday Bible Study

Prior to the start of church there is a study group for asking any questions, taking in more of the Biblical text, and just spending time in fellowship with other believers. We welcome new faces and offer coffee and donuts.

Thursday Prayer Group

The prayer group is open to all who feel led to be an active prayer warrior for Christ. We always need more people praying unceasingly for our Country, Community, and our World. We meet at 4:00 each Thursday at the Country Store of Hartsel, 12771 St. Hwy. 24.  (The red gift shop right in the middle of town.)

Wednesday Breakfast

Bible Study

Come  join us for some good food, warm fellowship, and a savory breakfast at the Highline Cafe on Wednesday mornings. We are not just being fed physically but also spiritually. The topics covered are diverse yet always match up with Biblical referances and attempt to be relateable to your everyday life.

HOPE _ FAITH _ LOVE

Lady was a horse that came to the ranch with a past of abuse which she had never overcome.  She was afraid and defensive to the point that the trainer was constantly in some danger.  Over time she began to trust as the trainer taught with respect and consistent behavior boundaries.  Anger or impatience were not displayed in her training, slowly reducing her fear and increasing trust.

God is patient with each of us and Jesus promises that He will continue His good work in each of us until complete, as long as we are willing to allow Him to work in us and on us. (Philippians 1:6)

Jesus as our teacher and the true leader of our lives is rewarding and always leads us to a more fulfilling, joyful, and productive life.  Jesus is persistent in love and building up.  Find a group that promotes love and growth.  Jesus never forced anyone to follow Him.  He won’t force you either.  It is always your choice.  Often, when times are hard and the season of life you are in is complicated, we have to make that choice each morning, again and again.

Jesus is worth it.  Life is worth it.  Happiness is worth it.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

PURSUIT OF LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE OFTEN

LEAVES US EMPTY AND FEELING GUILTY

There is a desire to be loved that is the core of our very nature from birth.  All people from all cultures desire this 'SPECIAL LOVE" from the earliest stages of life.  No child dreams of being abused but craves recognition, acceptance, and encouragement.  It matters not if the child needs lots of time being held or likes to play alone.  They all look for love and acceptance.

As children grow older, they often find themselves in various forms of trouble by chasing that need to be loved and accepted.  Very frequently they find themselves in trouble, time and again, as they have very little, if any, guidance as to how to find that special love.  Others will often simply have their spirit broken enough times that they become very hardened and accept  the realization that this kind of love does not exist, at least not for them.  Some find it only to have it taken away brutally and quickly.

Some grow up actually having a background that encourages them. They hang on to the dream long enough to find real love, at least to a larger, more fulfilling degree.

No matter what your story is, it is your story, reflecting your spirit and your future.  It is the history you were handed by those with authority during your youth or by the choices you made as you got older.

I encourage you to not give up on love and life.  Many of us have had a long battle growing out of the messes we found ourselves in.  In some way, I relate to where you are along the path of chasing a relationship where you can know you are loved just as you are, baggage and all

I compare much of our growth process as similar to training horses.  The training process must not break the animal's spirit, for that spirit is a gift from God.

Trust is essential for love and acceptance.  Trust comes when the promise is followed by fulfilling action.  Your spirit is from God.  God has a plan for you.  Yet even the horse has to learn to control the wild spirit. Then it can learn to benefit from the spirit that God blessed it with originally.  I find that people with the spirit to cling to a remnant of the dream to find honest love can achieve that elusive dream when they can find a trustworthy coach or leader who is truly committed to their dream as well.  Again, I encourage you not to give up on love and life.

I have dedicated much of my life to the pursuit of dream. I encourage you to join our rodeo, as those in this church work out their messed-up lives to realize more joy, peace and love, and to find there is an eternal benefits package included.  Pastor Ray
